Oman, mud brick village of Al Hamra, largely abandoned. Though some structures still endure, no restoration seems to be attempted. Nevertheless at least some of the multistory mud brick apartment buildings are lived in and electrical wiring is strung along the street. An Omani man in white dishdasha and embroidered traditional cap strides purposefully down the street.
