University at Alcala de Henares

The building dates from the turn of the 15th-16th century. The university, founded by Ximenez de Cisneros, opened in 1508 as the College of St. Ildefonso. The facade was designed by Rodrigo Gil de Hontanon in the style known as plateresque.
