Split - Guardian lion with lamb sculpture at entrance of the Cathedral of St. Dominius, Diocletian's Palace. Romanesque style, probably late 12th century.

The lion holds down a lamb in its front paws. Behind, two men in Roman tunics, with an escutcheon between showing a bearded man's face, leaves and volutes on either side, crown and rosette above. One of a pair.
