Through the display window of the gallery of Monika Spruth and Philomene Magers, London, during a show of new photos by Cindy Sherman, whose figure is seen in over life size enlargement on the walls. They are so placed in a black-and-white background landscape that the three standing figures, each in a different costume, seem to float. I have admired Sherman's work and went specifically to look at this show. It was to me more like a performance than an exhibition of work one might want to own. Nevertheless an interesting view at dusk. The street behind is reflected faintly in the windows too.
