Twelve vines relief sculpture in tympanum of the Prague Synagogue

Prague synagogue; carving on tympanum over entry to the inner sanctuary, an abstract geometric design within a pointed arch, shows 12 vines and twleve bunches of grapes, possibly representing the twelve tribes of Israel. Also known as the "Old-New Synagogue," the oldest in Europe. Built 1270 in Gothic style.
