Dubrovnik: view from the top of the city wall

Restored Dubrovnik homes have largely new roofs,made from tiles specially manufactured in Spain by original methods. Citizens saves many of the original roof tiles, however, and these are used when visible wherever possible, while the new tiles have been set underneath them. This view includes an unrestored roofless abbey church, though its vegetable garden is in active use.
